Widespread severe thunderstorms ripped across most of south-central Nebraska. Tornadoes were reported southwest of Sumner and east of Hebron. High winds and hail were common place. 60 to 80 mph winds rolled across a large part of the area. Buffalo County was without power for a time. A tree fell on one wing of the assisted living center in Ravenna. In Furnas county, large trees were knocked over and several center irrigation pivots were damaged or destroyed.
