Flood — Wayne, OH

Two to three inches of rain fell on much of Wayne and Holmes Counties as a series thunderstorms moved across northern Ohio during the evening hours of June 14th and early morning hours of the 15th. Widespread lowland flooding was reported in both Wayne and Holmes Counties. Several roads had to be closed in each county because of flood waters up to three feet deep. Dozens of homes and business sustained flood damage, mainly from basement flooding.
