Very heavy rain from a thunderstorm led to flash flooding in La Grande. Storm drains were overwhelmed by the high volume of water, with manholes pushed off due to water pressure creating geysers 18 feet high. Up to six inches of water was reported running down the streets in La Grande. Wind-driven water flooded buildings by entering under doors and pooling in entryways.
