By 615 PM, streams were out of their banks countywide. Basement of Hopedale School flooded. Routes 22, 49, 151, 250, 331 closed by flooding (times unknown). 4 to 6" of rain by 9 PM on the 8th. By 830 AM EDT on the 9th, Jewett was closed off because of flooding. Total rain: New Athens 4.9"; Deersville 4.6. (FRANCES)
