Rain from the remnants of Hurricane Frances began early on the 8th and ended early on the 9th. By 5 PM EDT on 8th, there was a mud slide on Pierce Run Rd near Bethany; and Castlemans Run Rd and Hukill Run Rd closed by flooding. By 630 PM, widespread flooding was reported, including Rte 2 in Beach Bottom, and Eldersville Rd in McKinleyville. (FRANCES)
