Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed in the afternoon and evening hours with a cold front in the vicinity. With deep moisture in place across the region and slow storm motions, clusters of thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall and produced flash flooding. A few of the storms also became strong enough to produce damaging wind gusts.
