A localized but intense storm 2.5 miles south of Walla Walla created a Flash Flood for the ThunderRidge subdivision Sunday evening between 5 and 7 pm. An eyewitness described the heaviest rain was accompanied by a roar and wide wall of water 3 feet deep coming through a pea field. The wall of water hit Kendall Road and backed up due to a culvert only 3 feet wide. The resulting flow through the culvert flowed northwest to ThunderRidge where it was briefly held by a levy left from construction.
