Hurricane Cindy produced tides of generally 3 to 5 feet above normal which resulted in mainly minor damage. Significant beach erosion occured as a result of the high tides at Grand Isle. The highest tide measured along the Louisiana coast was 5.5 feet NGVD at Bayou Dupree near Lake Borgne.

Isaac entered the Gulf of Mexico as a tropical storm on August 26, moving northwest after crossing Haiti, Cuba and the Florida Straits. Isaac strengthened into a hurricane on the morning of the 28th when it was 75 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River.

Ida developed from a tropical wave moving over the southwestern Caribbean Sea that spawned an area of low pressure on November 2nd. This low developed into a tropical depression on November 4th and then strengthened into a tropical storm a little later that same day.
