Storm Surge/Tide — Lower Lafourche, LA

Hurricane Cindy produced tides of generally 3 to 5 feet above normal which resulted in mainly minor damage. Significant beach erosion occured as a result of the high tides at Grand Isle. The highest tide measured along the Louisiana coast was 5.5 feet NGVD at Bayou Dupree near Lake Borgne.
