An isolated severe thunderstorm brought damaging winds and urbanized flash flooding to Simsbury, causing about one third of the town to lose power.The storm, which caused little damage in surrounding towns, toppled trees and snapped branches, particularly in the center of town. Route 10 near Plank Hill Road was blocked after trees fell, causing major traffic delays during the evening rush hour.
