Apr 29, 1996
Between 3 and 5 inches of rain fell across the county on the 28th and 29th. This brought the monthly total to near 9 inches. Many homes, especially those near creeks and streams, received water damage. Canoe Creek rose well out of its banks, submerging a vehicle almost to its roof. Numerous streets and roads were closed. Several families became stranded when high water closed off access roads to their houses.
