Flash Flood — Mobile, AL

Ten to Twelve inches of rainfall in a twelve hour period caused several roads to flood in the south parts of Mobile county, generally along and south of I-10. Flooding of the roads started about 800 pm Sunday evening and continued through 500 am Monday morning. Many roads had to be closed until water had drained from them. Many roads near the Fowl River became impassable and a portion of Lauendine Road was washed away. Traffic had to be rerouted until the road could be repaired. A couple of
