Two to three inches of rain in less than 30 minutes caused flooding of streets and basements in Louisville. Route 153 west of the Conrail train track and Route 44 near Conrail were closed due to high water. Entry into town was virtually impossible until 1:30 PM. Surrounding farmland was damaged by the flood waters. In Washington Township, high water swept away the roadway and bridge embankment over Kugle Run and damaged the culvert. Other roads were also water covered.
