Flash Flood — Yates, NY

Showers and thunderstorms brought torrential rainfall to Yates County, with up to one and a half inches of rain reported in a few hours time. This resulted in flash flooding of many creeks and small streams throughout the county. The hardest hit areas were in Jerusalem where County Route 29 was flooded between Route 54A and Belknap Road, and also in Penn Yan where several roads were closed due to flooding.
