A cold front moved south across New York late Friday night (5/10/96) and Saturday (5/11/96). A low pressure system developed along the front Saturday in central New York and moved into the Gulf of Maine by Sunday morning (5/12/96). Rain fell across New York Friday night and Saturday. The rain mixed with and changed to snow late Saturday night and Sunday...especially above the 1000 foot level.
