A wet and slow moving upper level Pacific low pressure system continued to move east and across Arizona late in the month of January, and resulted in scattered to numerous showers across the central deserts during the morning hours on January 31st. Rain was locally heavy at times and caused isolated instances of flooding between Gila Bend and the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
