Rains of 1.5 to 3 inches in 3 hours caused widespreadflooding on creeks across north central West Virginia.Many roads were closed by flooding streams. The watersforced a few evacuations. Elk Creek caused damage in the Goodhopeand Mount Clare area of southern Harrison County.Anglins Run flooded several businesses and homes in southPhilippi of Barbour County. In Gilmer County, Bull Forkand Tanners Creek flooded. Nine private bridges were damaged.
