Flash Flood — Van Buren, MI

Extensive flash flooding was reported across the northern half of Van Buren county. Rainfall totals in the South Haven area were reported to be between 4 and 5 inches, and totals of 3 to 4 inches were common across the remainder of the affected area. Traffic on I-196, in one direction, was halted by flooding at the M43 overpass. Bangor had city drains overflowing. South Haven reported 20 residences with flooded basements.
