Ten earthen dams broke across Tyler County after ten inches of rain in three hours. The hardest hit area was the Ivanhoe subdivision, 6 miles south of Woodville on Highway 69. Twenty homes received minor or moderate flood damage, ranging from six inches to four feet of water in homes. Another area hard hit was Railroad Street and Carlow Hill Road in Woodville, where a dozen homes received similar damage. A bridge on FM 1943 was completely washed away, and another bridge on FM 1013 was damaged.
