Rainfall of up to eight inches caused many roads in the northwest part of the county to be closed. The storm that caused the heavy rains remained almost stationary over southwest Wilcox, east Clarke and northwest Monroe counties for most of the morning then slowly moved southeast during the afternoon. Most of the roads that had to be closed were dirt roads. The roads remained closed into the early evening hours. The hardest hit areas were Hybart and Franklin.
