Scattered thunderstorms just to the northeast of Guide Rock dumped very heavy rain across eastern Webster County. Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches was common, most of which fell in the Elm, Crooked and Willow Creeks. The runoff caused the Republican River near Guide Rock to overflow its banks for a time.
