Persistent heavy rainfall that began on the evening of June 30th, continued causing Gunpowder, Fowlers, and Longbranch creeks to rise rapidly out of their banks. Numerous roads were under water and some people were rescued from the tops of cars that became submerged in the water. Over 30 homes were damaged.
