A strong Nor'easter and Tropical Storm Josephine produced as much as 7 inches of rainfall in 72 hours. Numerous road were closed county-wide. Thomas Creek Road had more than 300 feet of payment washed away. The heavy rains prompted school officials to close all of the Counties schools on Wednesday, 10/9/96.
