Rain, very heavy at times toward noon on the 19th, caused considerable highway and poor drainage flooding as well as flooding of some of the smaller creeks in Hunterdon County. Damage estimates were around one million dollars. Evacuations occurred along the Raritan River in Califon. Cars were stalling out in flood waters around Flemington.
