Rain, which fell very heavy at times during the early afternoon of the 19th caused considerable urban and poor drainage flooding as well flooding of most of the rivers and streams in the Passaic River Basin. Damage countywide was estimated at $1,000,000. The Netcong, Passaic, Rockaway and Whippany Rivers all exceeded flood stage.
