After 2 days of occasional rain, a final round of showersdumped around a half inch of rain in less than 2 hours.Route 39 was flooded by Knapp Creek near Huntersville, butno dwellings were affected. Also, streams feeding into theEast Fork of the Greenbrier River, flooded fields inthe vicinity of Thornwood and Bartow. Later, a strong riseoccurred on the Greenbrier River, with a crest about a footbelow flood stage in the Buckeye area.
