Flash flooding and high winds occurred during the early morning hours on the 8th.Heavy rainfall resulted in the flooding of numerous creeks and streams in Ashe and Watauga counties. Several roads were flooded and a few small bridges were washed out in Watauga County. High winds downed trees in portions of Ashe and Watauga Counties.
