On October 19 and 20 a nearly stationary low pressure system over southern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania produced heavy rains across much of eastern New York. Rainfall totals in the Catskills averaged several inches, with 5.60 inches at East Jewitt in Greene County and 6.95 inches at Slide Mountain in Ulster County. The heavy rain produced flooding across parts of Greene and Ulster Counties and along the Schoharie Creek. In Greene County, several roads were flooded and closed. County
