A spring-like storm system brought heavy rains to much of Northeast Pennsylvania, and the Western Catskills in New York. Nearly three inches of rain fell in a short period, causing creeks and small streams to rise out of their banks. Flash flooding in the Catskills closed Route 28 between Fleischmanns and Margaretville in Delaware County, and Route 97 near Lumberland in Sullivan County.
