Weather conditions across Iowa were quite normal for the month of June. The first half of the month was quite dry, however a significant rain event took place during the night of the 20th and early morning of the 21 that resulted in some minor flooding. The heaviest rainfall fell in the over the upper parts of the Iowa River Basin and over many tributaries to the Cedar River near Waterloo. Five to eight inches was recorded.
