Heavy rains from hurricane Danny moved into Choctaw county during the early morning hours of Monday. Several streams came out of their banks by 700 am. Rainfall totals for the two days was around 15 inches. This caused extensive flooding along the Okatuppa and Bogueloosa creeks which drain through most of the central and south parts of the county.
