Rain Monday night and Tuesday morning in the area caused substantial rises on rivers and streams around Cordova...including Eyak Lake and the Eyak River. 3.3 inches of rain was recorded at the Cordova airport Monday night and Tuesday morning (the airport is in a different climatological regime than the town...which is close to 15 miles away).
