Heavy rainfall of six to ten inches caused widespread flooding of roads, homes, businesses, rivers and streams from the Bradenton-Sarasota metropolitan areas south to the Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda and Ft. Myers-Cape Coral metropolitan areas.
