Several flash floods occurred in the county causing road closures and damage. Extensive flooding caused the closure of SR-9 from Zion National Park to Mount Carmel Junction. This roadway eroded in several spots. Basement flooding occurred in the communities of Little Valley and Bloomington Hills. The Virgin River rose about 8 feet in the Springdale and Rockville areas. A river gage on the Virgin in Hurricane went from 82 to 4451 CFS from 1030 MST to 1315 MST. 10 horses had to be rescued fr
