Flash Flood — De Kalb, GA

Mar 8, 1998

After over an inch-and-a-half of rain the preceding two days, showers and thunderstorms dumped another 2 or more inches in a six hour period over the Atlanta metro area. Peachtree Creek as well as Nancy and Sope Creeks rose rapidly and came out of their banks. A foot of water was over some roads and basements of homes near the creeks were flooded.
