After a fairly extended period of dry weather across Iowa, the rains returned to the state. The rainfall for the month was near normal, however isolated pockets of heavy rainfall occurred resulting in isolated river flooding. The heaviest rain events occurred on the 6th, 15th-16th, and the 23rd-24th. Much of the flooding was agricultural flooding and flooding to low lying areas. Dollar damage was therefore minimized.
