Heavy rain caused minor flooding across the county, primarily to flood prone areas. A man was killed when attempting to cross a low-water crossing. He and his wife were driving along Pagel Road, 3 miles south of De Soto, when their car stalled at a low-water crossing on a normally dry creekbed. They got out of their car and attempted to walk to higher ground. He was swept away by the current and drowned.The wife was unhurt.
