A cold front triggered severe thunderstorms and flash flooding across Dutchess and Ulster Counties. Severe thunderstorms downed trees and wires across several locations in both these counties. Approximately 2,000 customers were without power for several hours. A thunderstorm blew a tree down on a house at Gardiner in Ulster County. Severe thunderstorms also contained large hail. Torrential rains from the storms produced flash flooding across Ulster and Southern Dutchess Counties. In Dutchess C
