Thunderstorms dropping heavy rainfall developed over Dallas County. The rain area was very slow to move and as a result dropped excessive amounts of rain on already saturated soil. Two to four inches of rain fell in a little over an hour causing urban and lowland flooding. Once the rain stopped, the flooding subsided fairly quickly.
