A storm system moved from the Tennessee Valley Wednesday (January 7) and Thursday (January 8) then into New England Friday (January 9). Liquid precipitation amounts across the area during the week were 3 to 5 inches. The Black River in Orleans county and the Waits River in Orange county flooded.
