Flash Flood — Jackson, FL

A cluster of slow moving thunderstorms sat over portions of Washington and Jackson county during the evening hours of April 12th and lingered into the overnight hours. Significant flash flooding resulted in Jackson county with up to 11 inches of rain falling in a 6-8 hour period. This resulted in numerous road closures.

After moving across the Greater Antilles and weakening, the remnants of Tropical Storm Fred strengthened into a tropical storm once again in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall near Cape San Blas with maximum sustained winds near 65 mph on August 16th.
