This was the first of three consecutive nights of thunderstorms across southeast Ohio. The trend was for the heaviest rains to sink a bit further south each night. During this Friday night the 26th into the early morning of Saturday the 27th, several separate rounds of thunderstorms swept southeast. Rains of 1 to 3 inches fell mainly north of a Marietta to Athens line. This set the stage for more significant wind damage and flooding, from the second night of thunderstorms.
