Thunderstorms late in the evening of the 15th and early morning of the 16th produced flash flooding.Thunderstorm rains flooded and closed Route 21 near Cherry Lane. One mile north northwest of Joynes, in Stone Mountain State Park, creeks and streams were flooded stranding campers; paved roads, gravel roads, and several bridges were washed out.
