Heavy rain producing thunderstorms formed over the southeast side of the Las Vegas Valley during a two hour period. At the onset of the storms, a lightning strike set fire to a large house which completely destroyed the structure. Over one inch of rainfall led to flash flooding which forced the closure of several streets in Henderson and East Las Vegas.
