A weak upper level disturbance produced heavy rainfall across the eastern sections of the area. The heaviest rain fell across the Heartland and the eastern sections of the Concho Valley, where high water closed Highway 83 in Concho County and County Road 45 in Brown County. The worst flooding occurred in the city of Brownwood, where floodwaters entered a few homes and cars became stranded at several intersections.
