A cold front moved southeast from Canada across northern New York during the late afternoon and night of Sunday, September 27th and triggered thunderstorms. Torrential downpours accompanied these storms with flash flooding across northern portions of Franklin county.The hardest hit area was Whippleville where a feeder creek of the Salmon River became clogged with debris and flooded roads with some closed.
