Showers and thunderstorms moved south along the western slopes of the Green Mountains from Franklin county Vermont into western Lamoille and eastern Chittenden counties during the early morning of Thursday, June 18th. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain fell with locally higher amounts in the mountains resulting in flash flooding of brooks, streams and small rivers.
