Afternoon showers and thunderstorms developed over the Adirondacks and moved across eastern portions of the county Thursday, June 18th. Torrential rainfall from these thunderstorms resulted in flash flooding of brooks, streams and small rivers. In the New York towns of Lewis and Willsboro, roads were washed out.
