A storm system tracked across New England with continued periods of rainfall. With saturated soil conditions rivers and streams remained at or above flood stage. Areas along the New Haven River continued to flood, especially in Bristol. A number of roads were washed out in the county. Portions of Rte 12A were flooded in and around East Granville. Local sources of drinking water became contaminated.
