Tropical showers and thunderstorms redeveloped in bands to the west and northwest of weakening Tropical Storm Frances on Friday. Rain amounts were less than on Thursday night, but averaged from 2 to 3 inches with isolated totals near 4 inches. Flash flooding developed in the early morning hours over Karnes and Wilson Counties, as the activity spread northwestward. Heavy rainfall and flooding ended by the mid afternoon.
